Shropshire-based precision castings company, Grainger and Worrall (GW), is looking for the next batch of graduate engineers to kick off their career in manufacturing. This could serve as a big break for aspiring engineers; offering them the opportunity to work with world-renowned brands including Aston Martin, Bentley and even F1 teams, all of whom are customers of GW.

The programme will see the successful candidates undertake an initial four-month rotation through different areas of the Bridgnorth-based business. These areas include design, casting processes, engineering, validation and the brand new £5 million machining facility. In addition, each graduate will be allocated to a dedicated mentor who will work alongside them, supporting their career development and honing their skills

Edward Grainger, managing director of prototyping at GW, said: “Here at GW, we spend a lot of time, effort and finance in developing our people, ensuring they have the best training and equipment on the market. In 2016 alone, we invested £50,000 in the training and development of our people.

“We feel that it is vital to extend this opportunity to the engineers of tomorrow. The GW graduate programme is designed to help develop their skills, whilst allowing them to experience innovative engineering techniques, such as 3D-sand printing, real-time X-ray and CT scanning – which are all employed in our world-class castings process.”
